While Visiting the Hatfield Marine Center in Newport, Oregon I saw these amazing, tiny little baby skates in a tank. They are only a few inches tall, but the photo was so detailed they looked huge. So as with most photos that attract my attention, I did a drawing. Skates resemble sting rays and are often mistaken. Baby skates appear to smile and they are so cute wiggling their feet. This colored pencil drawing would be perfect for a marine life lover or to add to their collection.
